A 22-year-old woman who had been an employee of a prominent home healthcare operation in Denver is now facing felony theft charges for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, computers and other valuable items from elderly individuals whom she visited. According to the police report and court documents associated with the case, the woman had worked for Harris Home Health (a home healthcare operation started by former Denver Broncos player Ryan Harris) and had access to various patients’ homes in Denver, Castle Rock, Thornton and Parker. At least four of the woman’s former clients have reported various valuables missing after the woman had visited their homes, and in one case, a patient reportedly had more than $20,000 in jewelry and watches taken from her home and pawned in local pawn shops.
Another elderly patient reported that, in addition to having her jewelry and laptop stolen, she noticed that her credit cards had suspicious charges on them and that some of her prescription pain medication had gone missing.
While some of the elderly patients who were allegedly the victims of theft reported their missing items to Harris Home Health and told administrators that these items had gone missing after the woman in question had visited their homes, administrators allegedly told these patients not to report the incidents to police.
